We anchor each upright to the slab and set every beam at its planned level.
adjustments
When the loads change height, we move the beam levels and update the drawing to match.
reconfiguration
If the aisles have to move, we take the runs down and build them again to a new layout.
how an installation runs
The rep who quotes your install stays your contact until the racking is handed over.
1. site check
We check the slab and the column spacing where each run will stand.
2. plan
You approve the layout and the install dates before the crew arrives.
3. install
The racking goes up to the approved layout, and any change a column or a floor drain forces gets marked on the drawing.
4. handover
You get the drawings and records for the Pre-Start Health and Safety Review, which Ontario requires from a licensed engineer before the racking goes into use.
changed racking needs the review again
Moving a beam level for taller pallets brings the review back, and so does a forklift that needs different aisles.
That requirement comes from O. Reg. 851 in Ontario, and it covers used racking the same as new. Under the 2024 Ontario Building Code, some municipalities also ask for a permit and engineer-certified seismic anchorage before an install or reconfiguration. When the engineer's report asks for a repair, we make it before the bays are loaded. Maintenance and Inspections explains the review in full.
